Melboubne, March 12. Nothing further has heen discovered regarding the Horsham Bank robbery. The members of the Scots Church, Melbourne, have decided to proceed with the movement for separation from the Presbyterian Church of Victoria. >
The will of the late Mr J. Of. Francis has been proved. A sum of £178,000 is divided amongst the members of the family. Miss Marian Macfarlane has been admitted as first member of, the female diaconate of the diocese of Melbourne. She is attached to the parish church, South Yarra.
Sydney.
The four prisoners, charged with the murder of a woman at Waterloo on Quristmas night, were acquitted. The Senate of the University have decided to advertise in the colony and in England for a successor to the late Dr. Badhatn.
A resolution has been brought forward ie iie Assembly that it is inexpedient to declare vacant the seat of a member of the Assembly accepting office as a Minister of the Crown. It was eventually negatived by 30 to 17.
Adelaide. * The Government have offered a reward of £200 for the apprehension of the persons causing the fires at Norwood. Several more fires have occurred' in that neighborhood. H.M.S. Stringer has arrived from Ply» mouth.
