A bouse belonging to John Harding, Masterton, was burned down tbis morning. : A spark from the kitchen chimney is supposed to hare ignited the shingles. Three adults and eight children were in bed at the time, but they were all saved excepting one hoy, aged nine years, who was sleeping in an upstairs room. His charred remains were subsequently found. The house was insured for £200 in the South British.
