MARRIED V. SINGLE.
The match was continued aft or we went to press on Saturday, and resulted in a one innings victory for the former, the highest scorer for the benedicts was Smith, with 34 runs. The other highest scorers were Maddern 10, Egginton 8, and Hind» man 6. The bowling of Eowe and Bucban for the single men was very good. The single men in their first innings put together 21 runs against the bowling of Smith and Egginton, who "were dead on the wicket. The highest scorer for the single was Martin, with 5 runs. In following on their second innings the bachelors were only able to score 19, to which Martin contributed 4. The bachelors found it impossible to do anything with the bowling. Great interest was taken in the match. The return match will probably be played on Saturday week. The following are the complete scores : —
