LABOUR REPORT.

Heighton and Co., 177 Queeiv street, Auckland, report as follows:—The past week, being partly taken up with the holidays, little business can be accounted for, although some few engagements have taken place. For the over supply of men servante, they, more than meet the requirements; women servants as iuuil are in great demand. Engagements—Married couples, £75 and all found ; farm hands, 20s; station hands, £40 to £52 and found; general servants and housemaids, 8s to 15s 5 cooks and housemaids, 15s to 21s ; gentlemen's servant* 9, 20s; ladies' companions, 12s: and other engage* merits at current wages. We have, waiting for employment, farm hands, cooks, laborers, carpenters, bricklayers, grooms, gardeners, housekeepers, married couples, hotelmen, storemen, station hands.
