A.J.C. Summer Meeting.
(FROM OUE OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Auckland, This day. , At the second day's races of the Auck~ land Summer Meeting, held at JSllerslie yesterday, £6000 went through the totalisator. The following were the events:—
Debbt Stakes, of 200sovs.—Nelson, 1; Wapiti, 2 ; Escopeta, 3. Musketeer also ran. Won by a length; time, 2mins 50secs. The totalisator dividend was £1 17s.
Selling Race, of lOOsovs.—Paramena, 1; Yuba Bill, 2; Eewi, 3.. Envious also ran. Won by a length and a half, Paramena leading the whole distance. TotalU sator dividend, £4 6s.
Racing Club Handicap, of 300sovs.—■ Libeller, 1; Tim Whiffler,2; Salvage,3. Maori, Fishwoman, and Vortex also ran. Tim had apparently won the race, and the boy was sitting down in his saddle, but in the last 20 yards Libeller made a terrifio effort and won by a length. Time 3tnins. llsecs.
