This day. Death of an old French Mis-
sionary.
The Rev. Father Moreau, who has been a priest of the Catholic Dhurch in N.Z. for many years, and who was formerly in charge of the present diocese of Dunedin, died here this morning, aged 81. He had been up the river for a few months visiting a new church among the Moans, and being ill came down to town, where, after a month's illness in bed, he succumbed.
