BIRD-IN-HAND ROAD.
To the Editor of the Evening Star.)
Sir,—ln reply to the letter in the last issue of your paper, I do not consider my demand for compensation at all exorbitant, as I lose by the formation of the said Bird-in-Hand road the greater portion of my yard, viz.: an angle of 12x44x4, and compared to others -suffering by said road, I should be least compensated, as. all I wanted was that all fences and the retaining wall he made good, and outbuilding removed. Ido not ask for any money for the-loss of my land—l give that—J am, &c, " One who knows," and signs himBe lf ' P. A. Dobbs.
