WELLINGTON.

This day.

At the Appeal Court this morning, in the case of Fuchs v. the Union Steam Shipping Co., the Court affirmed the decision of the Supreme Court, Christchurcb, in granting a new trial; Judge Gillies dissented. In the case of the Crown v. Scanlon, Auckland, their Honors said they had found great difficulty in coming to a decision, owing to the absence of certain particulars in the case, and stated that they deferred giving judgment until receiving a report from Justice Gillies. The Court then adjourned until the 6th of March next, when they meet in Christchurch, and judgments will be given in Hunt v. Gordon, and the Crown v. Scanlon.
