This day. The Thames River. Tho Auckland Herald characterises the attempt to close the Thames river for two months at the bridge works, Te Aroha, as most despotic, and unreasonable. A Desirable Innovation. The Schools Committees recommend the Board of Education to introduce the Kindergarten system in one of the local schools. [ An Auckland Industry. The consumption of milk at the Hamilton Cheese Factory is now increased to 800 gallons daily. . The Triumph. Failing the use of compressed air to raise the s.s. Triumph, ifc is probable that one of the largest Union boats will be engaged, and will attempt to tow her off. The only hope of success would be to practically tear the bow out of her ; precaution being taken to make the fore compartment staunch and water-tight. The steamer twisted and bumped a great deal yesterday. . The Te Aroha Banquet. Nearly all tho City Councillors, and many leading citizens, have accepted an invitation to the banquet at Te Aroha.
