A Shop Destroyed by Fire. (feom oub own coeeespondent) . Te Aeoha, This day. Coleman's Hotel had a narrow escape oE being burnt on Saturday night. A candle was left burning, and caught the bed curtains, the flames being extinguished with difficulty. Leslie's cabinetmaker's shop was Utally destroyed by fire at 12.30 to-day. Leslie was melting glue, and left the fire for a few minutes, and in the meantime the workshop caught fire. The insurance on the building is £75, in the New Zealand ; on the stock, £75, in the National. Read's bootmaker's shop, next door, was saved .with great difficulty. A strong wind was blowing, ana Wells and Soutter's large general store also narrowly escaped.
