The Annexation Conference at Sydney.
[Reuteb's Telegbams.] jSydnet, Yesterday (afternoon). The Conference has appointed a subcommittee, consisting ol five Premiers (Messrs Stuart, Bray, Atkinson, and Griffith) to consider the various resolutions which have been submitted, and frame final resolutions for adoption by the Conference, which now stands adjourned till to morrow. It has transpired that at this morning'^ sitting of the Conference, Mr detailed at length the terms of the understanding which exists between England and France regarding the New Hebrides. Mr Service presented a memorial on the Btsbjecfc of Federation, which had been drawn up by European residents in Fiji Mr Dibbs, Colonial Treasurer of. New Southi«Wales, gave notice of a motion in favor 6f the adoption of a federal quaran tine at Albany (West Australia), Thursday Island (Queensland), and Auckland (N(BW Zealand). The meeting of the sub-committee of Premiers was held this afternoon. It is understood that an agreement was arrived at on the subject of annexation, which was considered satisfactory by Mr Service, the mtver of the first series of resolutions.
