(To the Editor of tbeJPvoning Star.) ' Sib.—l noticed with pleasure a letter in your last evening's issue, advocating the holding of a concert by the Chora 1 Society at Christmas time. Tbere can b< no reason why the Society should not give a sacred concert, including selections from the Mcßsiah;- and if we cannot find local talent sufficient for that magnificent work in the way of solos, we could easily Ret some of our Auckland friends to assist us.—l am, &c.~,
DOUBIE BASB.
