DUNEDIN.
Yesterday. The seventh annual show in connection with the Otago Agricultural and Pastoral Association was commenced at Forbury Park racecourse to-day. The wretched weather which has prevailed lately gave anything but a pleasant anticipation on that score; but, fortunately, the morning broke beautifully fine, and throughout the whole of the day the weather could not possibly have been better. The only drawback was the water which had collected on the ground, and which had not entirely drained off, but by to-morrow it will be entirely dry. It was feared that a large number of entries would iiot be forthcoming, but this was not so, and the ground allotted to the Association was found to be rather small for the proper placing of the exhibits. This day. It is stated that Mr James Edgar, Inspector of the Victoria Insurance Co., has received an appointment as local manager of the New Zealand Insurance Co.
