It has transpired that Mr J. B. Thurston, Colonial Secretary for Fiji, has been instructed to represent that colony at the Sydney Conference. Melbourne, Yesterday. The Premier, the Hon. James Service, the Hon. Graham Berry, Colonial Secretary, and the Hon. G. B. Kerferd, Attorney-General, will attend the Sydney Conference as the representatives of this colony. SYDNEY.Yesterday, Government have received a cablegram from Lord Derby, Secretary of State for the Colonies, announcing that his Lordship has sanctioned the representation of Fiji at the International Conference about to to be held on the annexation question. Adelaide, Yesterday. The Hon. J. C. Bray, Premier, and the Hon. J. W. Doner, Attorney-General, will proceed to Sydney as delegates from this colony to the Intercolonial Conference.
