OUR MINES.

NEW PKINCE IMPERIAL

Cleaning up for the month took place this morning, producing a total of 5927 ozs. amalgam, which on being retorted gave2l6§ozs. gold, of which 980 loads of general dirt, treated at the three batteries employed, gave 9660z5., and 13|ewt of picked stone and specimens, all from the stopes on No. 2 reef above No. 5 level, the good yield of 12Q0ozs. The melted weight of the parcel was 21390z5. In the mine the manager yesterday evening saw a little gold in the eastern drive on the No. 1 reef, beyond the break. Gold is seen freely in this reef in the stopes, and a few pounds of picked stone were also bagged yesterday. The quartz being broken in the eastern drive at No. 3 level shows gold freely.. MARINER. The contractors for the Queen of Engr land crosscut, No. 4 level, cut a leader yesterday in the Mariner ground, though only a few ; feet from; the boundary of the Queen of England. It is from one to two inches in thickness, and showed good colors of gold. It will no doubt prove to be the dropper from No. 1 reef, and though the discovery of gold in it is not of so much consequence in itself, it is encouraging, as auguring well for the quality of the larger reef when intersected. GOLD RETURNS.: City of Manchisteb.—Stockdale and party, tributers, have crushed 14 loads general dirfr for 13oss lodwts gold.
