Messrs C. S. Ross and Co., of this city, report the sale of a cargo of kauri timber, ex Kentish less, at the following average prices at per 100 feeL superficial: —Hewn logs lls 2d, sawa flitche3 15s; at per 100 feet lineal—T. ?nd G> flooring, 6xf, 8s 3d. The market is very weak. The following are this evening's betting quotations on the Caulfield Cup :—Calma 6 to 1. There is nothing doing in the betting market on the Melbourne Cup.
