This day. The Mercury Bay sawmill has been lighted with electric light. The Brush light is used. The mill is run night and day. ';••.'■ Over £600 will be given in prizes at the next Auckland regatta. Messrs Redmond and Walsh have received telegrams from the West Coast and other parts of the colony welcoming them on their mission, and informing them that -arrangements are being made for their reception. They bad intended to take a run to Alexandra to see the King country, but time will not permit at present. Departure of Messrs Redmond and Walsh for the Thames. Messrs Eedmond and Walsh left for the Thames this morning. The Auckland City Council Chamber has been seated in the form of the House of Parliament. * Mr Turnbuli, M.H.E. for Timara, is at present on a trip to Auckland. He visited a number of the most prominent factories in town yesterday, and was also shown through the gaol and Hospital. The other southern members have dispersed in various directions. 'Mr Shrimski has left for the Hot Lakes district; Messrs Duncan and Watt have gone to the Waikato, Mr Daniels to the Thames, and Mr Joyce to Kawhia in the Hinetnoa. The Hinempa is expected from Xawhia to-day, and will probably leave for Wellington to-morrow-
