Riots in CantonNews has been received from Canton that the Chinese mob, incensed by the accidental drowning of "» Chinese tout who attempted to board the steamship Hankow, set fire to and destroyed several houses on the wharf. Foreigners have been compelled to take refuge on board the shipping. Chinese troops have been called out to restore order. Three gunboats have left this port for Canton to protect the Europeans.
