AUCKLAND.
This day. The proposal has been made in connection with the Auckland Freezing Co., to establish a line of about eight grass farms of three hundred acres each, between Hawkes' Bay and the Waikato, to facilitate the driving of surplus sheep overland for export. The damage done by the Te Kopuru sawmill fire is ascertained to be under £10,000.
