WELLINGTON.

This day.

A fire early this morning destroyed the premises occupied by Messrs Phillips and Pollard, photographers. The fire appeared in the first instance in a room over the operating room, and had a good hold when it was observed by a passer-by. The premises, which were owned by Mr Toomatb, were completely gutted and the slock destroyed. The building was insured for £350 in the N.Z., and the stock for'£2oo in the Scottish Imperial. Nothing is known as to the origin of the fire.
