It has been resolved that the remains of the late Archbishop Vaughan shall be buried in Sydney. MEiBOtTBNE, This day. Arrired, yesterday morning: The P*. and O. steamship Rosetta, with the inward Suez mail, dated London, July 27.
Mr Service has agreed that the Annexation Conference shall be held in Sydney in the beginning of October, in order to suit the convenience of New South Wales, and is now consulting the other colonies with a view to a general agreement as to date.
Sydney, Saturday. Tbe following are the results of the principal events of the first day's racing at the Australian Jockey Club's Spring Meeting to-day : —
Deeby, 1 mile and a half: Le Grand 1, Kingsdale 2, Copra 3. Le Grand won easily by three lengths. Time, 2mins 46-Q-secs. Narama and Kapara al#o started.
Epsom Handicap, 1 mile and a furlong : Masquerade 1, Ascot 2, Stockdalo 3. Speing Handicap, 1 mile and a half; First Demon 1, Sardonyx 2, Pell Mell 3, This was a splendid race, and well con* tested throughout.

The race for the Debby was run today, and resulted as follows:—Dirk Hatteraick 1, Sardius 2, JJisbjs 3.
