The Justice Acfc Amendment Bill, and the Criminal Code Bill, were discharged from the Order Paper.

Mr Reynolds' motion for a Select Committee to inquire into the alleged case of forging', and uttering by E. ff. Ward of a certain document or deed purporting to be signed by the late Dr. Nesbitt, was opposed by Mr Whitaker on the ground that the case was already decided by the law courts, and was negatived.

A motion by Mr Reynolds to reduce the expenses of the staff of the Council by £600, was lost by 27 to 5.

The Council rose a 5 o'clock,
