The election is still proceeding. In the second batch of polls, taken yesterday, every seat was gained by candidates opposed to Mcllwraith's Ministry.
Melbourne, This day,
Joseph Smith (an Irish informer) and his wife are passengers for Suez by the Messageries steamship Melbourne. On landing'at Williamstown yesterday Smith was recognised and they have since been under police supervision. They sail by the Melbourne to day.
Melbourne, Yesterday,
A man who has been identified as Joe Smith, one of the Irish informers, arrived here from Sydney. It has been ascertained that his passage was taken under an assumed name.
