The Bankruptcy Bill is to be committed in Council this afternoon. Mr WilsoJ| has given notice of the following new clausef viz.: "If any person with intent to defraud the creditors of any bankrupt hath accepted any gift, delivery, or transfer of/ or any charge on the property of the bankrupt, it shall be lawful fo* the [Court,. by order under its seal, to adjudge such person to be imprisoned for any term not exceeding twelve months, with or without hard labor.
Sir Geo. Grey will move for a return of all cases in which restrictions on the alienation contained in, or endorsed upon grants of land to Maoris have been removed by the Governor since the end of March, 1883, or have been promised to be so removed, together with copies of all cones-, pondence relating to such transactions, or to any applications for the removal of any restrictions on alienation since the above date.
