" More detailed' reports' concerning the murder of Carey show that on the arrest of O'Donnell for the murder of Carey his cabi^ was searched, and among the luggage in his possession an infernal machine was "discovered. The wounds on the corpse showed that O'Donnell had fired twice, one shot taking effect in the neck and f,he other one going into the back. After the occurrence Carey lived twenty minutes before death supervened. It has b#n ascertained that the Irish Informers "now on board the Pathan endeavoured to persuade Carej to accompany them, but he refused to go. The. Nihilists have re-commenced their agitation in Russia, and a number of arrests bare been made by the authorities.
