LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL.
Wellington, Yesterday. Messrs Hart, G. R- Johnston, Holmes, Aoland, Menzies. Miller, Richmond, Robinson, Williamson, and Pollen wero appointed a Committee on the Direct Steam Service. Messrs Richmond, Grace, and Scotland opposed, and Messra Pollen and OUiver supported the Annexation and Federation Bill.—lt was committed, and the various clauses passed.—The Councilrose at 4.15.
