.....'.■■..,. This day. The Dunedin Gaol enquiry was resumed this morning, when the Hqns. Mr Connolly, Minister of Justice, and Mr Dick, Colonial Secretary, were examined by Mr Solomon. The former declined to produce a communication between Capt. H<M*e and himself, or to repeat a conversation between them, as both were privileged. Mr Dick stated that when he was Minister of Justice in May or June in last year, the subject of an inquiry had been discussed, bat he did not think the matter then ripe.* The ship Oxford is at the Heads. '' The Fine Arts Exhibition was opened by His Excellency the Governor at 2.30 o'clock this afternoon. ■
