Homomrd Bound Vessel Ashore in the Harbor.

Last night some excitement was caused by a vessel in the harbor burning blue lights * ani sending up rockets, and by daylight it was seen that the visitor was. stuck hard and fast, and could not get off. Various conjectures were hazarded as to who the visitor could be, baft they were, as such generally are, very wide of the mark. It was thought that the vessel was that expected with a cargo of coal for the Gas Works/ and other suggestions were made, but we have been able to ascertain that she is the New Zealand Shipping Company's barque Loch Ken, which left Auckland for London yesterday with cargo rained at £26,000. She went ashore last night at half past eight o'clock, but is expected to float off. The oausebf her mishap was the thick Weather which has recently prevailed, and the fact of her compasses having gone wronflr. The agent of the Company left Auckland this afternoon for the vessel with the intention of attempting to get her off with the first favorable tide.
