The Europeans Powers join in censuring the English Government for what they consider the culpable neglect on their part. They assert that the responsibility of taking precautions to prevent the further spread of, the plague rests with England, as she has assumed the exercise of a certain control over the internal affairs of that country.
A report having gained currency that the plague had its origin in India.; from where it was conveyed to Egypt, Earl Granville has officially declared that there is no truth whatever in it.
Full particulars of the bombardment of Tamatare has now been received. It appears that the Havasmadeno attempt.to respond to the French fire, bat retired without disorder; Daring the bombardment no snbjeots of other countries were injured, though some damage was done to English and American property. Earl Granville has expressed his opinion thit'the claim broucht forward by Baron de Lessees to a monopoly in connection with the Suez Canal is unim> peacbable.
