Yesterday.
The dispute between the contractor for the railway station on the Reclamation and the Government, arising out of the inability of the Government to place a contractor in possession of the works, and their subsequently handing over the contract to the Harbor Board, still remains unsettled, but the Harbor Board have taken possession of the ground and will proceed with' the work.
This day. Mr Wilson, the South Australian farmer who has settled at the Waikato
reports that a large influx of South Australian farmers may shortly be expected.
▲t the Supreme Court civil sessions today, the mortgagees of the Oddfellows' Hall, Hamilton, obtained judgment for £873 against several gentlemen who had become trustees on behalf of the lodge. Judgment for £750 was given against Mr John Sheehvn, M.H.8., under a claim arising out of the disposal of his interest in a .block of land near Wanganui.
