LBGISLAT I VE CO UNCIL,
Wellington, Yesterday. - In the Council to-day a number of bills prepared by the Statute Revision Commissioners were read a first time.
Mr Whitaker, replying to Mr Wilson' said the Gojernm>nt would introduce a bill to amend the Native Land and Native Land Court Laws. The Married Women's Property Bill, introduced by Mr Whitaker, was read a first time. The Council rose at 2.55. ' -.
