A great fire occurred at Te Aroha at three o'clock this morning, when Cojeman's Hotel (late O'Hatloran's) took fire, and was burned down. The fire ; spread to Yeale's store and the Telegraph Office. Some of the furniture was saredfrotn the Hotel, and most of Veale's goods were saved. Coleman's was insured in y the Victoria Coy., but the amount is not known. The Telegraph instruments had to be removed so telegraphic communi/ cation is interrupted between here and Te Aroha. The origin of .the. firo is no known. X, Graham Macky arrived here on horseback with the news.. Veale'a store was not insured, but the Victoria Coy., had a risk on the stock.
