A man named Geo. Sweeney has been arrested at Sydney charged with the robbery of £(300 from the Colonial Bank at Brunswick, near this city, last month. The accused was"" bound for San Francisco when arrested.
Sydney, Yesterday. The New South Wales Government are treating with the Orient Steamship Company for the establishment of a fortnightly mail service to the United Kingdom, alternately with the P. and O. Company's service. The negotiations have been instituted with a view to ensuring a weekly postal service between New South Wales and England.
