The International Fisheries Exhibition was opened to-day by the Prince of Wales, in the presence of a large concourse of people. The proceedings passed off most successfully. The Aus^ tralian section of the Exhibition is in a very forward state, and makes a good display.
It is transpired that Archbishop Croke has made a promise to the Pope that he will conform to the attitude which has been adopted by Cardinal McOabe in connection with State affairs in Ireland.

O'Brien and Doyle have pleaded guilty to complicity in the murder of Lord Cavendish and Mr Burke.
The dynamite couspirators were again charged at Bow street today, and all committed for trial.
At an influential meeting of shipowners, held in London to day, a comr mit tee was appointed to take steps to promote the construction of a second canal through the Isthmus of Suez. Calcutta, May 11. Intelligence is to hand from Cabul that an engagement has been fought between the Ameer's troops arid a large force of rebel Shiwarees, resulting in the complete defeat of the latter. Kingston (Jamacia), May 11.
News has reached here that the rebels in llayti have blown up the bridge at Mirrgaone by dynamite, and killed 7 two hundred Haytian troops who were operating against them.
