This day. - There wore 14 prisoners in the lock-up last night. Eight were for drunkenness.
Mr Walker, of Nukumaru, shot a bittern'in which were found no fewer than 67 young carp.
The fox-terrier match, for a silver cup erentuated on Saturday ; Branston's dog won. 500 ruts were killed during the' match.
