The Juno Company.

"THE WOMAN IN BED," AND "B.B."

The Academy of Music was crowded throughout, excepting in the front seats, on Saturday night to witness the presents tion oT the above plays by the Juno Combination Company. In the drama Miss Juno appeared as Miriam, the Jewess, and afterwards as Hudiga, the woman in red. It is almost unnecessary to Bay that the part undertaken by the talented artiste received full justice at her hands, the emotional parts particularly ; and the somnambulistic scene was one 5 of the finest performances we have ever had the privilege to see. Miss Gtreenless is to be congratulated on her successful pourtrayal of the affectionate daughter; Miss Featherston played the Countess Donati carefully, and Marguerite D'Arbel was in good hands with Mrs McGbwan. The devil-may-care Victor Sanson was done full justice to by Mr Russell; Mr McGowan played the villainous Mallisset with the force tha f t Mr McGrowan always plays ; Count Clauciio was well impersonated by Mr Marshall, and Mr Medus did what little he V had to do as Matfcie Twitti in an amusing way. The remaining parts were efficiently: filled. Miss Juno and, Miss G-reenless were very deservedly called before the curtain. It is a ptiy that this play cannot be reproduced before the de« parture of the company. The farce " B. B." brought one of the best performances of the season to a close. In the afterpiece Messrs Dillon, Medus, and W bitting, assisted by Misses Fealherstoae and Leonard, kept the audience in one continual roar of laughter till the fall of the curtain. To-night " East Lynne" will be produced, and for to-morrow, the last night of the season, ''Leah, the Forsaken," and a scene from " Jeannie Deans " are announced. Those who have not seen this company will hot have an opportunity of doing so after Tuesday.as they leave for Auckland on he following day.
