The Intercolonial (Victoria v New South Wales) Eight-oared Race took place to»day over the usual course on Paramatta River, and resulted in an easy victory for the Victorian crew by six lengths. The winners led from the start to the finish, and the rowing was excellent. Time. 18mins 12socs. The weather was splendid, and the water quite smooth. The contest was witnessed by crowds of people along the banks and on steamers following the boats. Adelaide, This day. Wheat firm at 5s 6d to 5s 7; town flour, £1210s ; country brands, £1110s. Freight. Market steady with a moderate demand, but on Charters there is nothing doing.
