Eeuteb's Telegbams [Received April 28,1.30 p.m.] London, April 27. A nitro-glycerine factory has been discovered by the police at Northampton. Mr Parnell, who has returned to Eng ;< land, has cabled to the Irish Convention at Philadelphia, urging the delegates to adopt a prudent programme. Three Fenians named Kingston, Gibney and Healy have been arrested at Dublin, charged on the evidence of an informer with conspiracy to murder. The Orient Steam Navigation Co. has declared no dividend for the past half* year, but carries £35,030 to the reserve fund. London^ April 27. ' The race for the One Thousand Guineas Stake was run at Newmarket to-day, and resulted as follows: — Hauteur, 1; Malabran, 2; Lovely, 3. Michael Fagan, the fourth of the Phoenix Park prisoners, has been found guilty, and sentenced to death. The formation of an Imperial Department of Agriculture is announced. The portfolio is allotted to the Bight Hon. J. Dobson. In the House of Commons last night the Affirmation in Lieu of Oaths Bill was again under consideration. During the course of the debate Mr Gladstone made a speech in which he strenuously supported the measure. The discussion was again adjourned. London, April 26. Another Collision in the i Channel, A collision, attended with serious loss of life, took place in the English Channel at midnight on Tuesday between the ship British Commerce, 1417 tons, bound from London to Melbourne, and the ship County Aberdeen, 1865 tons, from Calcutta to London. The British Commerce was cut down below the waterline, and sank almost immediately, only Captain Jones and the boatswain being saved. These two managed to clamber oa board the County Aberdeen. The number of lives lost was 25. The County Aberdeen was severely damaged, and was towed into Portsmouth to undergo repairs. The accident is attributed to the weather, which was very thick at the time. Both vessels had general cargoes.

London April 26. At the Irish Convention in Philadelphia many delegates refrained from censuring the dynamite policy. The American Cabinet is discussing the necessity of taking measures to prevent persons making inflammatory speeches. Archbishop Croke, of Cashel, has been summoned to Home to consult with the Pope in reference to the condition of affairs in Ireland. The Canadian land companies offer to locate" ten thousand Irish families in that country if the English Government agree to lending a million of money. Earl Dufferin has been instructed to strongly protest against the Sultan's mis* rule in Armenia. The Queen of Madagascar is seriously ill, and is not expected to recover. The strike among the Yiensa bakers has been settled.
