The Land Board, this .morning, again had the " Dummyism" question under consideration, three purchasers at the recent sales attending at the meeting and applying for the license. The Board crossexamined them at some length, and agreed to determine the application next week. A telegram was received from the Undersecretary of Lands stating that Mr Rol-r leston was entirely in accord with what he considered to be the determination of the Board in the matter.—A letter was also received from Mr GeUibrand, in Tasmania, stating that he had advised the Messrs Young, ef Tasmania, to settle in New Zealand; and that, desiring, them for neighbors, he advised them to take up land near Cottesbrook station; he was convinced they would make frugal and industrious farmers such as the Govern • ment of New Zealand desire. • The two men, John and Nichol, who appplied last week for licenses for their purchases at the sale, had them granted to-day. ..
