Yesterday. A Chess Tournament will be held with living pieces on the Queen's Birthday in aid of the suburban school.
This day. A four-roomed cottage in George street, owned by Mrs Brooks, was to tally destroyed last night by a fire, caused by a match being thrown against the curtains of a wardrobe. The house was insured in the Norwich Union for £250, and the furniture for £200.
