WELLINGTON.
This day.
At the inquest held on the body of Philip Latham, who was killed on Saturday last by a fall from a lift at Messrs Turnbull's Btore, a verdict of "Accidental Death" was returned, and a rider was added " That a Government inspection of lifts be made at least every twelve months, and that it be compulsory to attach patent breaks to all lifts."
