Then the ohild asked if there would be any crosseyed bears in the circus, and the. mother said, there probably would not be any, and asked what pat that idea into her head. The girl said the minister gave out the notices of the prayer meetings, and sociables, and picnics, and then took up a song book and read,''A consecrated crosseyed bear,"'and she thought maybe he was going to read a notice about the circus on the lake front, but the crowd commenced singing, and she " couldn't hear what £c did say about the circus." The mother hugged the little darling, and then tried to explained about the " cross I'd bear," but it was not a success.
