THE HOSPITAL MEETING.

(To the Editor of the Evening Slur.) Sib, —At the Thames Hospital meeting last evening it struck, me as being strange that the Holy Romans, although large subscribers to the institution, only sue ceeded in getting one of their number on the Committee, and that one the late President. I will not accuse anyone of packing the meeting, although such has been insinuated, bud when an old tried and good worker like Mr Mulligan, who has rarely, missed meetings and devoted more time to Hospital matters than any other Cominitteeman, is rejected one naturally wonders what is the reason. I don't think Dr Callan paid for all the five shilling subscribers on the list.—l am, &c, Ingbatittjde.
