Mr Bates had Poet and Minerva out, but returned to the boxes without working, as also'did Mr Dick with Lone Hand, Merlin, Libeller, Musketeer, and Paramena. The rain clearing off Gooses man determined to send Tim Whifflerand Kingask, and both were stripped and sent two miles. Although they went slow I must say that Tim pleased me very much, and from the form he is in I can see that it will not do for me to disregard his chance ia the Easter Handicap, for with a couple of more gallops into him, and the ground harxUgoing on the day, I hate come to the conclusion that he will be a very dangerous opponent. Edwards sent Leonora for two miles but he is not a very taking mover, and it was not hard to discover that a heavy course will interfere greatly with his chance of success. Mount, who did three miles, looks in pretty fair form, but I don't like the appearance of one of his fore legs. Betting: Leonora, 4to 1; Tim Whiffier and Siesta, sto 1; Libeller, 7to 1.

This day. The race horses Siesta, Jack, Pastime, and Lomond, arrived per Rofcomahana today. Siesta has a slight cut on the fet lock. Nearly all the horses were training this morning. Libeller is coming on famously. Mount galloped four miles. Wattie, Mason, Vallance, and Drake arrived by the Rotomahana.
