[Reoeived April 16th, 11.50 a.m.] London, April 14. Gallagher, (a brother ot the man now under trial in London) who was recently arrested in Glasgow, has intimated to the police his willingness to turn informer against the dynamite conspirators.
[Received April 16th, 11.55 a.m.] London, April 13. Consols remain at 102f. Neve Zealand securities are at the following prices :—5 per cent 10 40 loan, 107§; 5 per cent 1889 loan, 107; 4| per cent 1879-1904 loan, 102|; 4 per cent inscribed stock 102^. Colonial breadstuff's continue dull at past quotation. Wheat, ex warehouse, 50s; New Zealand wheat, ex warehouse, 44s -to 48s. Adelaide floor, ex warehouse, 345. Tho total quantity of wheat afloat for Great Britain is 2,210,000 quarters, being 140,000 quarters less than last week. Australian tallow remains firm at 443 for best beef, and 46s for best mutton.
London, April 12; At the Newmarket Spring Meeting, the Abraham Stakes was won by Mr W. A. Long's Tonans. A Press Association special says that one-third of the Cuzco's cargo of frozen meat has arrived in a doubtful condition. The remainder is believed to be sound. Another arrest has been made in Birmingham in connection with the seizure of dynrmite ia that city. Earl Dufferin retnrns to England shortly, and it is suggested that Sir Hercules Eobiuson should replace him at Cairo. It is announced that, as Mr E. Me* Naughten, Q.C., ALP. for County Antrim, has refused to accept the Judgeship of the Chancery Division of the High Conrt ofJustice, vacated by Sir Edward Pry, Mr Levin Smith has be appointed to that position. London, April 10. It is announced that the Queen will leave Windsor Castle for Osborne on Tuesday next owing to the recent activity of Fenians in [England. Extreme precautions have been taken by the police to prevent any attack being made upon Her Majesty. The trial of Mr Bradlaugh for the issue of certain alleged blasphemous books concluded to-day, and resulted in his acquittil. ... St. Petersburg, April 14. It has transpired that a revival of activity in Nihilist circles has recently been manifested, and numerous arrests have been made by the police.
