NELSON.
This day. A young man Darned Frank Hodgson, againt whom a warrant was issued in October last on the charge of embezzling £500 from the National Bank in 1881 has been arrested, and was charged before the Magistrate this morning and remanded. He evaded the police for a long time but was eventually captured in the neighbourhood of Pelorous Sound. A lad named Holland had his thumb and the palm of his right hand shattered by the explosion of half«a-pound of gunpowder with which he and five other boys were playing.
