NEW PLYMOUTH.

This day. Suspected Incendiarism. M. S.Daniels was charged this morning at the Police Court with setting fire to his house on Wednesday night at Devonport. It was stated that some furniture had been removed, and the police wished to find where it was, as a larger quantity had been insured than was found in the house when the fire was extinguished. Mr Pardy asked the Bench not to give accused bail, as it might frustrate the police in getting the property were he at liberty. Bail was therefore refused.
