" : ; This day. The cases jm reference to the seizure of the illicit still came on <br hearing at the Eesident Magistrate's Court this morning before Mr Ward and two J P's. Mr Fitz herbert appeared for the Crown, and asked that the former information should be withdrawn, and he now promised to charge them in couples, viz.: Jessop and Peck, Malcolm and Flyger, and Chas. and George Peck. Mr Shaw for Peck Bros., Mr E. Hawkins for Jessop and Peck, and Mr Evans for Malcolm, objected on the ground that the course of continuing to lay fresh information was irregular, and at present no defendants were before the court, unless they voluntarily surrendered to their informations! the cases could not be proceeded with.
