On the 10th inst. the tide rose unusually higk, and the greater part of Albeit street was under water. During the time that the three following tides were up, a eimiLir Slate of things prevailed, and considerable dan? age to property followed. The sea managed to find its way into the shops, stores, and offices in Albert street ai far as Queen street. At Yaughan's Hotel yesterday morning there were six inches of water on the floor, and in the offices on the southern aide of Albert street from 6 to 9 inches were found. As far 88 can be ascertained the immediate damage to goods, furniture, &0., i> over £100. it is to be hoped that some precautions will be taken by the Borough authorities to prevent a similar scene presenting itself tonight.
