This day. In.the District Court the cases agains.!; the Ryan family were called on. The prisoners' counsel applied for an adjournment, pending an appeal to the Supreme Court to annul the bankruptcy of Patrick Ryan on technical grounds, but His Honor held that the public convenience was at stoke, a number of witnesses being present from distances, and suggested that all parties be suited by trying the cases and deferring sentences pending the result of the appeal case. The conspiracy case against J. Ryan, his wife, and daughter then proceeded.
